block 6 oil field of Sudan - Darfur / Kordofan
The development of the oil fields in southern Sudan can
easily be spotted from
Landsat data; different
parts of the oil infrastructure including drilling sites, roads, pipe lines,,
seismic grid, various ponds and build-ups. Furthermore, can ecological
consequences be evaluated.
Recently oil exploitation has increased in oil block area 6
which covers southern Darfur and Kordofan. Few new drilling sites were observed
in southern Darfur.
